School’s Out Washington’s annual Bridge Conference is a multi-day regional convening focused on exploring, celebrating, and influencing our collective field(s) through the act of solidarity and unified learning. Expanded learning professionals, community organizers, school district representatives, funders, policymakers, and systems leaders gather to engage with a diverse range of knowledge, people, and perspectives; identify the ways that racial inequities impact youth, expanded learning opportunities, and educational outcomes; experience a sense of belonging to nourish social connection and professional networking; learn how to implement tangible practices that promote an equitable expanded learning opportunity ecosystem; and strive to recognize power dynamics throughout programs and systems and begin to strategize how to co-create stronger partnerships across sectors. Join us at the 2020 Bridge Conference from Tuesday, October 27 – Friday, October 30, 2020.

2020 Bridge ConferenceThe Seeds We Sow, emphasizes intention in the act of reimagination. Only together, as a collective, will we solidify a new foundation that intertwines our cultures, values, and leadership to nourish all our young people’s excellence and right to thrive.

Bridge Conference Registrants: Within 12 hours of registering, participants will receive an email from Sched inviting you to create and/or log into your Sched account so you can create your personalized schedule and prepare to attend the event. Girls Who Code - 10/29 Exhibitor Open House
Girls Who Code is an international nonprofit leading the movement to close the gender gap in technology. We’ve reached 500 million people through our online initiatives and 300,000 girls through our programming. Of the girls we've reached in person, half come from historically underrepresented groups in tech. We have 80,000 college-aged alumni, majoring in computer science at a rate 15 times the national average!

Our largest program, Girls Who Code Clubs, provides free curriculum and resources for 3-12th graders to learn computer science and join a growing sisterhood of girls using tech to change the world. Our interactive curriculum teaches girls coding, while also creating a culture of bravery where girls feel supported and encouraged to take risks and learn new skills. When you sign up to access our free curriculum and resources, our Clubs:

- Are 100% free
- Can be run virtually or in-person
- Include 120+ hours of flexible plug and play curriculum that feature groupbuilder activities, spotlights on inspiring women in tech, self-guided coding curriculum, and a culminating Girls Who Code Project to address a real world problem in the community
- Do not require any prior coding experience to lead a Club
- Promote a girls-supportive environment, yet students of all genders are welcome to join!

Join the movement by bringing a Girls Who Code Club to your community and signing up to start a Club using the Clubs application at girlswhocode.com/clubsapply -- whether you meet in-person or virtually!
