Tania Dearden studied Engineering Science at the University of Virginia and earned her PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder. While navigating the STEM education pipeline, Tania became passionate about providing high-quality, equitable STEM experiences to youth. She worked as a curriculum developer for Engineering is Elementary at the Museum of Science in Boston before moving to Seattle to join Techbridge Girls. While there, she ran afterschool STEM programs for girls in low-income communities and managed the organization’s professional development programs. Tania now works at foundry10 team and collaborates with students, educators, and community members to continue innovating within STEM education. Outside of work, Tania can typically be found in the mountains, either climbing up them or skiing down them.
